The term “Printed Ribbon UK” or “us” or “we” or “Seller” or “our” refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is: 6b Brookside House, Brookside Industrial Estate, Spring Road, Ibstock, Leicestershire LE67 8FP, UK. The term “you” or “Buyer” refers to the user or viewer of our website.
There shall be no binding contract between Seller and Buyer until the Buyer’s order has been accepted by the Seller. By submission of the order the customer accepts these terms and conditions and authorises Printed Ribbon UK through a payment processing provider (such as Paypal or Stripe) to take payment for goods selected. We reserve the right not to print any message that we consider to be obscene, offensive, derogatory or discriminatory in any way. However, we will print fun hen night messages etc.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that they own the rights to the artwork provided or have been granted permission (or licence) to use it. We reserve the right to challenge this at any point to make sure no copyright is infringed.
For every printed ribbon order we prepare a print confirmation document that we email to you for your review and approval to go to print. It is your responsibility to check the details in the confirmation document are correct as it is from this document we print and dispatch your order. Please note any changes advised after receiving confirmation to print may be charged for. If you do not receive this confirmation email with sample print in 3 working days after your order please contact us.
We will not print any orders unless we have received a confirmation to print in writing.
Transfer of Property
Property in the goods shall remain with Printed Ribbon UK until we have received payment in full of the price and all sums due under the order.
Our preferred method of payment is by credit or debit card over the telephone. We accept most major credit or debit cards. Simply call us on +44 (0)1530 229234 and we will take all the necessary details. Payment can also be made easily by all major debit or credit cards and multiple currencies via the secure Paypal facility. You will be re-directed to the Paypal website on checkout to make payment. This means that Printed Ribbon UK will not deal with or store any credit card details. You do not have to sign up to Paypal to make use of this service. Full payment is required before your order is dispatched. Alternatively, we can email you a unique payment link, to allow you to pay via our payment processor. We also accept BACS payment into our bank account – please contact us for the necessary bank account and sort code details. We do accept cheques and when we receive confirmation of cleared funds the goods will be dispatched. If you wish to pay by cheque, please ring us beforehand – Cheques can be made payable to “Printed Ribbon UK” and sent to Accounts, Printed Ribbon UK, 6b Brookside House, Brookside Industrial Estate, Spring Road, Ibstock, Leicestershire, LE67 6LR. Please allow 5 working days for the cheque to clear.
Unless otherwise agreed, the price of goods will be that ruling in Printed Ribbon UK’s price list at date of despatch. We reserve the right to alter prices at any time without notice. For printed ribbon there is no origination charge for a maximum of two logos repeated. We reserve the right to charge additional origination costs if the artwork setup exceeds the usual requirements.
Where relevant, if your item is not in stock we will back order it for you. You will always be emailed with the situation and expected delivery times or the option to cancel your order if preferred. If we then subsequently send the goods to you it will be at Printed Ribbon UK’s postal cost.
In very exceptional circumstances the product may vary slightly from that shown or for ribbon be supplied on different make up rolls but to the same amount (or greater). Where we make substitutions it will be with a product of equal or greater value and where time allows we will advise the Buyer of the situation.
Delivery & Risk
For orders under 150m, we will aim to process orders within 48 hours from our acceptance of the order and your acceptance of printed ribbon order confirmation document (subject to stock availability). At peak times of the year the lead time may be longer so please schedule your printing ahead of time and allow 7 working days for delivery. For each quotation we will advise of the anticipated lead time. If you have an urgent order please contact us when you place your order to discuss your requirements and we can dispatch by next day delivery for an extra charge.
Delivery times quoted are given in good faith. We cannot be held responsible for late delivery by Royal Mail (or other third parties) due to local holiday, adverse weather conditions which may hinder transportation of goods, industrial strike action of postal workers and other incidents which are beyond our immediate control. In such instances, we may only on occasion, be able to offer a refund of the postage incurred for delivery of your goods. Delivery of goods to the stipulated delivery address shall constitute delivery to the Buyer. All risk in the goods will pass to the Buyer upon delivery. At the checkout there is the option to change the delivery address if it is easier to deliver to an alternative address e.g. your work address. Discrepancies or damages apparent at the time of delivery must be noted at the time of delivery and Printed Ribbon UK notified within 3 days of receipt – See Returns Policy for further details.
Ribbon width tolerances are +/- 2mm if not stated otherwise in the item description. (quoted from manufacturer of ribbons). Ribbon lengths are approximate to within 5%.
Roll lengths are approximate and as supplied by the ribbon manufacturer.
As with all ribbon rolls, there may be joins on the roll so may not be one continuous length.
Please note that due to roll lengths in cases of orders by the metre, orders over 10m may be delivered in 2 separate lengths. Ribbon colours are subject to availability and may change due to ribbon suppliers amending their range. Ribbon Cutting and sealing service. If a certain number of strips are required from a continuous length order, that number will be the charged number, although actual yield may be up to 5% less due to the manufacturer”s length of ribbon and the automatic ribbon cutting process. Cut lengths may vary from actual required length and at the time of order we will advise the amount of mm +/- that the ribbon may vary by as they are dependent on the length of ribbon required. We will always aim to ensure that cutting appears at the space between/at the end of the logos so no logos are cut in half.
Not all font colours produce effective results with all the ribbon colours. With our experience we offer font colours that are best suited to the ribbon colour – hence reduced font colours are available on some items. In other cases we have picked the one best font colour for the ribbon – usually the shiny metallic colours as the finish is superior, is more hard wearing, smudge proof and water resistant than the matt colours. In the case of Design your Own ribbons, we will contact you if you choose a font and ribbon colour combination that we feel does not work to the best possible advantage and offer suggestions.
Orders may be cancelled upon contacting Printed Ribbon UK by telephone or email but will be subject to a 10% administration charge of the total order to be cancelled.
Returns Policy/Quality Guarantee
All our products are sourced to be of the highest quality. Unfortunately, all goods with personalised ribbons, or are cut to length (e.g. 100mm ribbon by the metre), are made to order and are not subject to a refund unless the product is faulty. As we copy and paste into our specialist printing software directly from a Buyer’s order request, please ensure that there are no typing errors contained in the order. You must inform us of your intention to return any goods, within 7 days of receipt in the original packaging. Buyers are responsible for paying the postage costs for returning any items. After investigations at Printed Ribbon UK, for any products we find to be faulty, we will return the full amount of the faulty goods plus any returned postage costs.
Postage and Packing
We take pride in packaging. Price is dependent on the weight/number of items ordered and type of packaging protection needed for goods. For the most recent postage & packing pricing please refer to the store checkout pricing or contact us on +44 (0)1530 229234. A signature will be required when packages are delivered. You will not be charged any postage and packaging on orders over £150.00 exc Vat, sent by Royal Mail 1st Class signed for service to a UK Mainland Address. If you require to send your goods urgently and the order is over £150.00 we will require an upgrade charge to Royal Mail Special Delivery. For postage costs to other countries please contact is for a quotation. If an incorrect Postage and Packaging amount is chosen by the Buyer Printed Ribbon UK will require the extra amount to be paid prior to dispatch – by debit or credit card- e.g. Buyers claiming free delivery for an order over £150.00 but the delivery address is outside of the UK and therefore does not qualify.
